Carrot Custard recipe with Step by Step pictures - Carrot custard is a go-to dessert on any lazy weekend. Yes, a no-fuss-making yet creamy delicious dessert, above all, the nutrition of carrots, wow is'nt it? And yeah who can tell a no to bowl of  this chilled creamy carrot custard under this scorching sun! Chennai is becoming hotter day by day and I cant wait, running now to dig into my carrot custard. Enjoy the recipe :)

Here is what you will need



Step 1 - Heat ghee in a thick bottomed pan, saute the carrots in medium flame for 5 minutes.


Step 2 - As they soften and change color, add the boiled milk. Stir continuously. Allow the milk to boil in a medium flame. let it boil for 4 times. Keep stirring now and then.


Step 3 - The carrots rise up and that means they are cooked. Add sugar, stir well and allow them to boil for the next 8 minutes on medium flame.


 Step 4 - The mixtures boils well with a sweet aroma.


 Step 5 - Add cardamom powder at this stage. Mix vanilla custard powder with the cold milk


Step 6 - Add the custard mixture to the pan and allow it to boil three times on a very low flame. Keep stirring so that there are no lumps formed.


Step 7 - Switch off flame. Add nuts off your choice or saffron strands. I love to have it plain :) Yum Carrot Custard ready :)
