Mushroom sukka

 

Cooking time : 15 - 20 mins | Serves : 2 Adults

 

Ingredients

 

200gm mushrooms cleaned and chopped

 

1 big onion finely chopped

 

1/2 tspn fennel seeds or saunf

 

1 bay leaf

 

1 tspn garlic chopped

 

1 tspn ginger chopped

 

few curry leaves chopped

 

1 tspn red chilly powder

 

1/2 tspn cumin powder

 

3/4 tspn pepper powder

 

oil

 

salt

Method

 

Step 1 Heat a heavy bottomed pan with oil, add fennel seeds, bay leaf, ginger and garlic. Let them saute on a medium flame until golden. ( ahh, the smell of garlic hmmm... :) )

Step 2 Add onions and saute them until golden brown.

Step 3 Add chopped mushrooms, saute well on a high flame. Now add salt, red chilly powder, cumin powder and pepper powder.

Step 4 Mix well. Cook them covered on a medium flame for next 5 minutes.

Step 5 Add crushed chopped curry leaves.

Step 6 Cover and cook for next 5 minutes, until the oil from the masala separates.

You are done - Mushroom sukka ready to be served :)
